… and we’ve worked with several coaches of club teams and former Gopher’s players. Alyssa knows her stuff and can quickly correct bad mechanics and form. She has feedback on every rep, but it’s delivered with a positive connotation and players really respond well to her feedback. She converted my daughter from an average hitter into a really good hitter. My daughter’s bat speed is up, she hits the ball harder, her mechanics are better, and her stats are also way up. However, my favorite thing about Alyssa is that she is a born leader. She is always early, ready to work, and has a really positive vibe to her. She is a wonderful role model for younger players. Whitney is passionate about pitching and passionate about your daughter improving as a pitcher. Not every drill or technique clicks with every pitcher and Whitney is excellent at finding a way to make that light bulb go off for every pitcher to understand what she is trying to teach. I asked Ada what she thought of Whitney as her coach and she wrote: "What I like about my pitching coach Whitney is that she doesn't just tell you what to do and expects you to do it every time perfectly, she makes sure you know what to fix and if you don't understand she’ll explain it more and really helps you to understand what you're doing. Another thing I like about her is that she really knows what she's talking about because she was a pitcher at NDSU.
